Slow Sand Filtration as an effective way for International Contribution

1.Case Examination of Sri Lanka

Nagoya City Waterworks Bureau held a seminar for understanding SSF for the sake of staff members of water supply board of Sri Lanka as part of the JICA BOP private sector partnership investment from 2011 to 2012. Nagoya Waterworks introduced SSF as the suitable method for supply pure water to mountain villages in Sri Lanka.


2.Case Examination of Miyako City

Miyako City of Okinawa Prefecture provided “Technical Training for management skill using Slow Sand Filtration” as a programs for JICA Partnership Program during four years from 2006 to 2009.
SSF caused many participants grave concern as ecological, affordable, and easy maintenance purification method by microorganism.
